The continuation of my story.

“Hey.” Joe said smiling at her with a goofy smile. Taylor’s mom got out of the way and let Taylor step out in front of him. “I bought you chicken noodle. You loved this.” Taylor folded her arms across her chest. “Why are you here?” She asked as seriously as she possibly could. “I bought you…” Joe was cut off. “No, why are you really here? We haven’t seen each other in years. What do you want?” Joe stared blankly at her, Taylor becoming impatient. What could he say? He wasn’t going to just say it out loud. “I just wanted to see you, I wanted to make you sure you were ok.” Joe answered. Taylor looked quizzically at him. “Ok, well thanks.” She said taking the bag of soup from him. She looked at her mom for a bit of approval and when her mom gave her the I-suppose-you-can-have-it look she smiled. “Is that all?” Taylor asked Joe. Joe scratched the back of his head. “Um, yeah, but can I talk to you…a-alone.” Taylor turned back to her mom, who reluctantly left the two alone. Taylor let Joe into the room. She plopped down on the couch and found a plastic spoon in the bag. She opened the soup cup and began to eat from it. Joe awkwardly stood there until he decided to sit on a seat opposite of Taylor. “So,” Taylor began. “What did you want to talk about?” It took Joe a few seconds to say anything. He wanted to find the right words of course. He knew that anything he would say would be analyzed to the very nitty gritty when it came to Taylor. He sighed. “I miss you…” He started. Taylor looked up from her soup and gawked at him. Joe Jonas missed her? HOW? “I just couldn’t stop thinking about you. I mean I know you’re friends with Ashley and she mentioned you on occasions and then I listened to that song you wrote about me and that I just really miss you and…” Joe stopped to catch his breath; he looked over at Taylor who was blinking at him. “Did you get any of that?” Taylor nodded. That was all she did? “So, um. What do you think?” Taylor pondered on the question. “I think you’re pretty brave for coming here and saying that, but I also think you’re pretty stupid too. Joe it’s been nearly 3 years. I was begging for you to come back to me, but you didn’t take me back. I’m over it.” Joe’s heart shattered. He thought that she still loved him too. “But, I just thought, that-that song was so emotional. I-I…” He stuttered. Taylor saw the hurt in his eyes, and she felt good about it. She had suffered for so long and it’s his turn now. Did he seriously think that she could just turn into jell-o and take him back? Taylor would admit that she still had lingering thoughts of her and Joe ever being together. If it hadn’t taken him so long to realize that he wanted her back, she would have taken him back in a heartbeat. But now, he has to work for her affection again. “What do I have to do to show you that I really do want you back?” Joe asked, almost pleading. These were exactly the words Taylor wanted to hear. “You have to work for it.” She simply said. Joe blinked at her. “I’ll do anything.” Taylor smiled, getting up from the couch and making her way to the door. “Good.” She said, walking out of the door, sneezing.
